A bit of this and a bit of Graphic 45!! ;)

Hey everyone!

I have a few different bits & bobs to show this week :) Firstly, I have to mention my sister-in-law to be's new blog! Its for all things crochet-so check her out & follow along with the crafting fun there http://reerawcrafts.blogspot.com/

I received my winnings from Lindys Stamp Gang blog hop this week!!! I cant WAIT to try these out!!!

I posted on my blog a while ago the first ATCs I made for a swap-well I  got my swap ATCs back-
The first card with the image of the dragon was made by Mary O'Leary  it has loads of lovely glittery bits & nice heart shaped blings! The card in the middle was made by Geraldine http://littlesnippetsblog.blogspot.com/ I love the kisses on here and the heart trim! You guys have to check out Geraldines etsy shop for AMAZING embroidered embellishments-http://www.etsy.com/shop/littlesnippets. And the third card is by Niamh http://niamhsnookofinspiration.blogspot.com/ And this card has just a gorgeous vintage feel to it-thanks so much ladies, this was a great first ATC swap for me & I'm looking forward to doing more!!

Also I took part in the paper and goody swap over on the scrapbeach for the month of February as hosted by the lovely Mely-and my partner was Leah over in Texas. I made up a birdsong kit for her again with Lily O'Brien chocs-yummy!!!

This is the handmade tag I made to match up with the kit using stamps from the collection

And this is the great kit I received back from Leah-it contained a great selection of goodies for me!
The kit also contained lovely handmade charms/dangles that Leah made for me. My first ones to receive!!
This is her gorgeous tag-love the stamped lady and the bling and lace! Its just FAB :)
The other dangle I got-thanks so much again Leah, x.

I had to show some other goodies I got off other friends of mine-
I got these  AMAZING Tim Holtz die cuts & embossed pages off the lovely Alyson http://craftingtostaysane.blogspot.com/! I had never seen any of these in the "real life" so its so cool to see them & I want a big shot more than ever now :)
These goodies then I received from my friend Judy http://www.facebook.com/JAnnBdesigns-I had seen her using this gorgeous butterfly on her youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/JAnnBDesigns during Marions 31 day challenge and she let me know that she had 2 so she sent me her extra one & I love it so much Judy, you were so generous to send it to me & not only that but she also sent me gorgeous laces in 2 of my fave colours cream & teal! Also you can see in the picture some stamped images and little paper frames & stickers.

I am so lucky to know all of these lovely ladies & am just loving the whole scrapbooking experience!

This year I am determined to get braver with my embellishing etc. and I got amazing trims & laces in an art shop the last day-check these out!!!!!! There are embroidered flowers, laces, crochet laces, rik raks......

And lastly, here are my pages for another page swap I am taking part in over on the scrapbeach-hosted by Elisa :) its a 4x4 page swap using graphic 45s once upon a springtime collection!

This is the fronts of the 6 pages-I painted the edges of all my pages with rangers metallic gold paint dabber!
The fronts have a pocket with a tag inside
I cut the embroidered flower trim I got in my haul and cut off individual flowers to use as an embellishment and I added a swarovski flatback crystal for the centre
I used an image from the collection for the fronts of each of the tags and I added an eyelet with a little bit of crochet lace for the pull & a Tim Holtz pin!
I wanted to make the back of the tags look like a postcard to match in with the paper-so I think it turned out ok :)
 The backs of the pages
I made a little bouquet of flowers-little satin fabric ones & a paper one that I added pink glimmermist to it! I also added a gold glittery 3D butterfly from Anitas and some gold bling
 The back of the page
Like my 'Time flies' I added a little mulberry envelope to the back of my pages with my details in it! I attached them using a Tim Holtz paper clip!

Well, that's it for this week :) Also I must just mention that I now have 71 AWESOME followers on my blog-only 4 more & it will be give away time again!!!!

Thanks so much again everyone,
Aideen X

Well I have since received the completed book & here are the pics of all the fabulous pages everybody made,

Thanks for visiting-

Aideen X

Everyone did such a great job on these pages and by sticking to Daphnas colour scheme & theme they all worked together nicely
Daphna was our lovely hostess and she binded the books with a large binding ring & even added matching ribbons & fibres!!
This is the front page-I love the big bright birdie with the clock & the title & the ribbon along the bottom is FAB!!! This page was made by Sarah Saaga
This is the back of Sarahs page with the pocket, lovely pearl swirl & I love these clocks that are stamped here!
 Sarahs tag!
This is my page-if you want to see more details I did them all on a  previous post http://www.piecesbyaideen.com/2011/01/my-page-for-my-first-ever-swap.html

Here is the next page as made by Amber Baker (Youtube address is amber9694)-It has gorgeous butterflies, a lil tag with the yellow flower atteched & when you pull up the large paper clip.....
You can lift the acetate flap and really reveal this gorgoues stamped image!!!
This is the back of Ambers page -A tag pulls out from the top section and the little cream stamped square is also a pull out! I love the flowers Amber used-especially the top layered cream & yellow one, the  cream one has a fuzzy felt kinda feel to it!
The cream pull out of Ambers page
This page was made by Daphna, our hostess & its really pretty! The brown felt piece here is where you could slip a lil picture or whatever behind it!
This is the back of Daphnas page, I just LOVE this textured pocket with all the eyelets down the side.
Daphnas tag from inside the pocket I am just showing that you could also slip a picture or something in behind her embellishments!
This next page came all the way from Mariana in Austrailia! Her blog is at angelwingsandbeautifulthings.blogspot.com loads of gorgeous embellishments with the butterflies, clock & flowers! Loving the roses amd I am not sure if you can see in this picture but theres is lovely glitter or stickles on all the embellishments.
The back of Marianas page with this big clock cut out complete with metal butterfly
Marianas tags including some Tim Holtz journalling tags
This is the final page & definately a technique I would love to try with the corrugated cardboard pocket! Made by Deann McNulty-how cool is the effect of the corrugated cardboard??
Deanns tags-stamped perfectly to match the time flies theme and down below is the back of her page-with this gorgeous  clock image that has been embossed! Love the trim & ribbon she used too.

My first ATCs, a swap , some cards & A GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!

I have a few pictures of different things to share with everyone-I got involved in an ATC challenge over on www.cardznscrapz.com for February as hosted by the lovely Dianne & with the theme of love. You have to make 3 ATCs so here are mine-
All wrapped up & ready to go!!
I used Tim Holtz seasonal stash papers in the valentine theme along with some of the seasonal stickers, then I added a corrugated heart & paper rose to the ATCs, I finished them off by distressing the edges with ink! I also inked the edges of the stickers to make them "pop".

 The back of the cards
It was fun making these but as its my first ones-I hope they are ok & that whoever gets them likes them!

Also I was in a swap over on the scrapbeach which was a paper & goodie swap set up by Mely where you were joined up with another member & you had to make them up a kit with paper, card, embellishments, ribbons, trims & goodies! Tricia from New York was my partner & I made her up a kit using Basic Greys Curio collection & for her goodies I gave her some Irish Lily O'Briens chocolates.

This is the kit I made-it also had to include a handmade tag which you can see here on the right. Sorry about the quality of these pics I took them with my phone so the aren't great. I made the tag with some core'dinations which I sanded, some velvet butterflies, bling, a Tim Holtz "BLISS" adage ticket, lace & organza ribbon.

She gave me an awesome kit made up of really beautiful colours & embellishments! Also it was lovely to get some goodies from America :) I can't wait to make up a mini with her kit-
The colours of this kit are so cool-and some of the pages like the one on top here with the yellow bird are flocked!!!

This is Tricias tag-how cute is this?? Love the mix of the warm & cool colours! Thanks so much again Tricia, this was a great swap!

I have joined this swap for Feb too so I'll update you all about that again :)

Then I thought I would also put up a few pics of some cards I have made over the last few months-
A baby boy card for my neighbour
A wedding card for my friend Susan & her husband Peter
A baby card for my friend
A baby card for another friend :)
 Rias christening card
A wedding card

Thanks for visiting my blog-hit that follow button if you haven't already-I have 31 followers & when I reach 50 I will do a giveaway!!!!!
