My flowers from Anna and my Junk Journal for Desiree :)

Hello,

Firstly I have to share with you these AMAZING flowers that I won from Anna Fearer, check out her blog HERE. A while back Anna asked for colour combination suggestions on her blog for a flower and I suggested apple green, pink and cream & I was the lucky winner of the colour suggestions so Anna made me a mini spray using my colours.

Her flowers are amazing and she sells them at her etsy store HERE you HAVE to check out all her flowers, they are just stunning and the perfect touch for any project! Here are the pics of my flowers-they are just beautiful Anna, thank you :) x

This is the flower made from my colour suggestion, the green colour is beautiful and I love the little pink flowers & the cream lace in the back!
Anna also included this purple flower which I just LOVE! You guys have to go check her out!!!

Also, I heard from my Junk Journal swap partner Desiree that she received the journal I sent her so now I can post about it! I like to post after my partners have received their goodies so it's a surprise for them.

So, this swap was hosted by the lovely Alyson :) over on thescrapbeach and the idea was to make the journals out of recycling stuff etc. and my partner was Desiree, her journal she made for me is en route so I'll post about thst again! Desiree has a brill YouTube channel and even has a video of the journal I made her-check it out and subscribe ;)  HERE
So, for my journal I used one half of this cotton canvas shopping bag....
Scraps from my brothers art papers-Fabriano, pastel, marker, brown, sugar, bristol, watercolor and drawing scraps! I was lucky to have him give me all these great pieces.......
corrugated card, bits of the shopping bag, envelopes, core'dinations, tags and textured paper I had in my stash......
I also included lots of writing pages for Desiree to journal on....
We also had to include some pre-prepared backgrounds-for this one I painted a piece of the black sugar paper-first I painted it dark pink, then added a layer of crackle medium and then I painted it cream! The cream cracked to reveal pink under it-I also stamped it with this lovely birdie tree stamp I had......
Close up of the stamped image....
For the one I used drawing paper and inked it with tea dye distress ink and then stamped the same image with white paint I also edged it with the white paint which is a dabber in the colour snow cap....

I made a tag using some of the canvas bag and glimmermisted it and stamped it with a bird and "embrace imperfection" also I covered a regular tag with textured paper and stamped it with this new birdcage stamp I got which I LOVE ;)
I used large 2" binding rings so Desire can add more papers or whatever she likes-the ribbons are recycled from packaging.....
This is the cover then which has the image from the shopping bag sewn onto chipboard-love how it came out
For the bow I used the handle of the bag and the D is for Desire of course! And its a grungeboard letter coloured with starburst stain and glimmermist...
This is the inside of the front cover I stamped on this beautiful tree image and also the sentiment "Have a beautiful day"....
I liked the stiching on this so I didn't want to cover it up.....
This is the back of the journal then which was brown chipboard which I coloured with the starburst stain and glimmermist mixed together again to make this purple colour...
My stamp and another little birdie,

Thanks for looking,
Aideen X
