CreatewithKates's new crafty corner, TandiArts fairy class and goodies!! +VIDEO

Hey guys,

This past weekend I got to go to a fun crafty class which took place in CreateWithKates new crafty corner and shop-visit the website at createwithkate.com where you can see what goodies Kate has in her store. (Video at the end of this post shows everything I made and bought!).

The class that I took was hosted by the talented and lovely Sylwia from Tandiart-look her up on Facebook, Instagram, blogger and also YouTube for loads of inspiration-her style is fun, bright and cheerful.... I couldn't wait to take this class as I was already familiar with Tandiart fairies and how cute they are-I already have one of Sylwias pieces up in my craftroom and she sells all kinds of goodness in her Etsy shop HERE.

I set off Saturday morning from Galway and was up in Kates crafty studio in just over an hour-it is in Mayo so not too far from me which was awesome. The studio is just so cute and I couldn't wait to take a look inside....

The inside did not disappoint!! Check out all of the crafty goodness-everything is so pretty and organised so it was so much fun looking around at it all. Kate also has loads of handmade pieces around the shop which show how different products have been used which is perfect for inspiration.

Our class kit came beautifully packaged with a little fairy photo on each bag!

Here are the contents of our kit bag, the wooden fairy house, papers, chipboard embellies, ribbon, flowers, pearls, buttons and an amazing TandArt print-we each got a different print which was such a nice touch.

First up we made our fairy houses and heres mine at a few stages papering... washi taping.... painting... stamping.... adding cute chipboard embellies from class sponsor scrapiniec HERE And then we each had to add out little fairies!

And here is my completed house and also part 2 of our class which was making the card you can see in the pic!

And here is the picture we took outside of everyones houses-we all wanted our own little fairy village after seeing them all together looking so cute!

I had ordered this fabulous leather cuff style bracelet from Sylwias Tandiart facebook page HERE before the class so she brought it there for me and its just so pretty-as a lover of photos it's just perfect for me.

And now....here is the video all about the day and I also share my purchases from the shop,

Thanks for popping by.... Aideen xo

Hello lovelies and welcome to another #ealmondaymakes and today we have a super fun post for all you crafty and even not so crafty peeps!

Have you heard of Guidecentral?? Basically it is a DIY and crafting app which is FREE but also they have an awesome blog and facebook page so check those out HERE, and most definitely download the app hello....did we mention that it is FREE-nothing to lose but loads to gain.

Not only can you browse a wealth of tutorials with tons of fun ideas but you can also be a maker on the app and share your tutorials for others to learn too-there is something for all levels of crafters and DIY-ers. Another perk of becoming a maker-you can get paid to share your knowledge-you have got to check it out if you are into not only craft and DIY but also beauty, food, style, home decor or technology! There are guides for everything...

We were recently contacted by the lovely peeps at Guidecentral and told about a fun event they have coming up in Dublin at the end of this month their summer craft party.

It looks like such a fun event-I have a ticket to go but with work and this pregnancy I will have to see how I am on the day.... Are you going?? Let us know,

My crafting desk

Hey guys,

I hope you are liking my new look blog and what's so cool is that I got my 1,000th lovely comment on my last post!!! I love reading the comments and am delighted to have 1,000 :)

So today I am sharing my craft desk-my desk is actually a large piece of lovely walnut kitchen counter that was left over when my parents did up their kitchen-my hubby is a carpenter so he had put together their kitchen and dad gave him the left over piece.

It's really nice and in my house all of our doors and wood floors are walnut so it matches perfectly. The desk as we now call it :) is about 7 foot long so you can see in the pic it can fit plenty of my crafty bits and bobs!! I also keep some makes I have received on the desk as inspiration but I also have shelves above the desk (not in pic) where I display more of the lovely things I have gotten in swaps.

I keep all my smash* books and notebooks and most used goodies on the desk for easy usage-like you can see my WASHI tape holder, little jars of embellies etc

My storage area then is a wardrobe in the room-the room is actually meant as a bedroom but with two kids and myself we took it over as a playroom/craftroom.

If you would like to see more of my crafty space or a video maybe when I finish tidying the storage section-I NEED a trip to ikea :) let me know in the comments,
