Prima DT French Riviera pom pom lanties

Hello guys!

How fun are Prima lanties?? I really enjoyed working on this project and coming up with a cute way to embellish them.

Pom Poms are so popular right now and I think they added just the right touch to my lanties... I used a really inexpensive pom pom maker from my local knitting store and it made it so quick and easy to make up these super full pom poms.

The flowers and chip pieces are from the French Riviera collection by Prima and the gypsy cord I used is called Esmeralda-such a fun name! The lanties use LED lights so they do not heat up and it is safe to add goodies into the lights.

These lanties are also from the french riviera collection-they are easy to open as the cork top just pops out of the plastic jar and you can then add whatever you like-I have made mine so everything is easily removable and the lanties can be changed up again...wouldn't they be fun done up for Halloween and Christmas time too...

Here's my video for a closer look:

Prima DT-Fiber arts dreamy weave for August ppp challenge 2016

Hey guys,

So the August challenges are up over on the Prima blog HERE so definitely go check those out and all of the wonderful samples made by my teamies!

I was part of the PPP challenge team this month and this is the inspiration photo:

The photo just gave me a dreamy, beachy feel and thats what I went for with my weave-using lots of roving soumak weaved into it to create the wavy texture.

I also added a little sparkle with the flower and leaf for that Prima touch...

And of course I made a little video for you all so check that out here:

Altered oil bottle

Here is the before and after of an oil bottle I altered for a swap-I used gesso first and then paint and tissue paper and lots of prima goodies including gold foil bloom spray, prima flowers, leaves, vine and copper metals. I also added shipping string around the neck with a Tim Holtz token hanging from the string.

I am going to enter my bottle into the Prima June challenges which you can check out HERE

I have some close up pics here and also a video of how I made the bottle and I would love you to check that out.

This close up shows all the prima embellishments and you can see how I added some plaint and the prima bloom spray to those too.

Here is the video:
